Final Conference

Final Conference of the ZeroW and CHORIZO projects

Join us for the Final Conference of the ZeroW and CHORIZO projects, where we will showcase key findings, insights, and solutions to tackle food loss and waste (FLW), one of the most pressing challenges in Europe’s food system.

Each year, the EU generates approximately 59 million tonnes of food waste, amounting to an estimated 132 billion euros in economic losses. FLW occurs across the entire supply chain, from farms to households, affecting food security, environmental sustainability, and economic resilience. With food waste contributing to nearly 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions, addressing this issue is essential for achieving the EU’s Farm to Fork Strategy and broader climate and sustainability goals.

This multi-stakeholder conference will share knowledge, insights, and solutions to support innovations adoption and drive real-world impact, underpinned by the EU funded research in the two projects.
